A Compassionate Side

This morning Addison and I went to church for women's Bible study. Addison loves Thursday mornings because she knows she'll get to spend an hour and a half playing with her friends. On our way home, I saw a compassionate side of Addison that I hadn't seen before. She told me over and over again how her friend Jacob had "hurt fingers, stove." Apparently Jacob had gotten his hand shut in the toy stove and his fingers were smashed. She said, "momma, Jacob cry, but Jacob tough. I tell Jacob he okay." It was so sweet to hear her tell of her concern for Jacob. I've seen her show compassion towards Travis & I, but to see her so concerned about a friend really touched my heart.
