My dad has a theory (or an old wives tale!) I'm not sure where he heard it, but so far, it has always held true with kids I've known. If you can reach your arm over your head and touch your ear, you're ready to go to kindergarten. If you can't reach your ear, you're not ready yet! Last year at this time, Addison couldn't touch her ear.
Ready for kindergarten!
Not ready for kindergarten.
Who knows!?!

A missionary we heard years ago said that was how they knew kids were ready for school in the country where he served. Maybe Africa?
Haven't heard that in a long time! My Mom was a Kindergarten teacher and she used to tell us all that! So far the theory has worked on all my kids and grandkids!! :)
