Grandpa's Funeral

Travis and I and my family drove to the small town of Parma, Michigan where my grandpa was buried. The same cemetery where his parents and sister and her husband are buried. We had a small graveside service.  He asked Travis several years ago to do his funeral and Travis was honored to do it.  I took some pictures during the service to share with my brother who lives in Turkey and couldn't be there.  Here are a few of my favorites from the service.

My grandpa's childhood friend hugging my grandma.  They were the same age and left together for the army at age 17 and came home together from WWII.

My cousin was in the drum and bugle corp. for 6 years and told my grandpa he would play Taps at his funeral.
