Mother's Day

This year, I spent Mother's Day at home with a sick child.  Actually, she got sick Saturday around 5:00 and finally had everything out of her system by 11:00.  We slept in the TV room on the couches, so I didn't get much sleep!  Sunday morning, she felt fine but wanted to lay around and watch cartoons.  She was ready to eat again by lunch time and was back to feeling like herself by late afternoon.  A very quick bug and thankfully no one else got it!  And Travis was very sweet and let me catch up on my sleep in the afternoon!

Addison gave me the sweetest gift and card she made at school.  They even wrapped it up for us to open!
A book of quotes...the teachers read the first half of the quote and each kid finished it.  Some of the responses were hilarious!  Here's what Addison's responses were:
1.  The squeaky wheel...gets really squeaky.
2.  What's good for the goose...is to let it say Quack Quack!
3.  Speak softly and carry...a basket.
4.  A picture is worth...some glasses.
5.  A penny for...some stickers.
6.  The early bird...gets up.
7.  Winners never...get cold.
8.  Never put off 'til tomorrow...never put off the next day either.
9.  Every cloud has a...airplane.
10.  Do not go where the path may lead, go...on a road.
11.  You can lead a horse to water but...don't drive a car to it.
12.  What does a mom do?  Bakes stuff.

That is such a neat gift! They do some really cool stuff at Pre-K! Loved Addison's answers! Sorry you had to spend Mother's day at home but glad no one else got the bug! I really enjoyed hanging out with you gals this morning. Thanks for brightening my day! :)
